Our client performs conformity assessment and risk management services to clients from over 800 offices in over 140 countries. The Pressure Vessels division of the Industry & Facilities group, has revenues of approximately $22M.  In addition to five geographic regions, for 2010, priorities include expansion of the consulting offering to the Nuclear Power Industry creating the need for this business development role.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The successful candidate for this position is responsible for developing the ASME Nuclear Consulting business within the company’s Pressure Vessel business unit.  The primary purpose of the position is to expand the nuclear business by establishing operational processes and procedures and by developing new business.     

This is a technical business development position that requires extensive knowledge of the nuclear power industry and related codes and standards.   The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and client relationship management ability.
A proven track record in new service line start up and ASME section III and XI experience is required. Employees must have a proven track record in The Power Utility business development with emphasis on selling technical services.

Technically, in the Pressure Vessels inspections services market, the Manager should have a credible background and knowledge of codes and standards associated with The Nuclear Power Industry including but not limited to ASME code as well as a through understanding of nuclear quality program requirements.    
     
The Manager will lead the Marketing and Sales function to include simultaneous efforts in development of national account programs, mass market initiatives and client portfolio management. Ideally the successful candidate will have established relationships with Manufacturers (ASME Commercial Stamp Holders) and be a member of industry groups or have otherwise established contacts.

The following provides more details of the main services provided by the Pressure Vessels unit:
o    ASME new construction
o    National Board repairs and alterations
o    Nuclear In-Service
o    Pressure Equipment Directive
o    International Codes & Standards


SPECIFIC DUTIES

Key Responsibilities of this position:

•    Work with Pressure Vessel business unit VP and Technical director to identify nuclear consulting opportunities with existing clients (ASME commercial stamp holders) and non-client stamp holders. 
•    Prepare presentations and articulate company’s service offering in a professional manner. 
•    Prepare technical proposals and consultation plans. 
•    Conduct N Stamp level audits and develop NQA-1 quality programs specific to client needs.
•    Manage the P&L and deliver profitability expectations for the Business Unit.
•    Participate in the strategic planning process.
•    Prepare activity and other such reports as may be required by OneCIS management and administrative personnel and/or company policy.
•    Develop plans to cross-sell services and increase the organization’s knowledge of services available to cross sell.
•    Help establish the company’s Brand in our markets.
•    Establish customer relations and good will to include customer feedback.
•    Recommend to the VP Operations changes in organization to support a strategic plan for the development and growth of the business.
•    Partner closely with other key executives to coordinate strategy and execution.

Requirements:

•    Associate degree or equivalent in Science, Math or Quality Assurance.
•    Minimum of 5 years experience in the nuclear industry.
