Our client is a technology and services company specializing in Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) applications. They specialize in surface and subsurface technologies and services for the oil and gas field environment. Our client’s unique technologies and applications are changing the way in which oil and gas producers exploit their reserves, maintain their field infrastructure and comply with environmental regulations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Vice President--Sales.
SCOPE
Our client is looking to expand their sales team in Colorado. We have been asked to recruit an individual who can bring a strong technical sales background to the existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing and sales materials preparation, client relations, sales campaigns, and contract negotiations. He or she will become familiar with key client decision makers, stay abreast of client organizational changes, and understand the business development opportunities with existing and potential clients. As such, the successful candidate will have responsibility for recommending target opportunities, developing proposal strategy and participating in proposal preparation, along with developing focused sales approaches.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
This position will have responsibility for sales of the company's capabilities to oil and gas companies and the successful candidate must therefore perform the following:
• Develop, prepare, and implement short and long term plans ensuring they conform to corporate objectives. Recommend and present these plans to senior management as required.
• Work closely with other departments ensuring maximum exposure of the company's capabilities, including an understanding of the offerings and presentation of those capabilities when appropriate.
• Develop and prioritize customer lists and contacts.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on business opportunities and customer activities. Analyze each opportunity and provide feedback to management.
• Attend and effectively represent the company at trade organization functions as identified and directed by management.
• Keep management informed of conditions, activities, and trends including customer or prospect changes, technical developments, market dynamics and competitive strategies.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
An undergraduate degree in engineering, biology or chemistry is strongly preferred. Other degrees will be considered with significant relevant experience.
The successful candidate will be a proven engineering services sales professional with a minimum of 5-10 years experience selling services to the oil and gas industry. Specific experience and contacts with the energy related companies, drilling contractors and engineering firms is desirable, and a technical understanding of various onshore platform technologies and structures is required.
This individual must be well organized and have a high energy level. He or she must be a perceptive self starter who can implement effective sales and marketing programs and make adjustments for industry trends, market swings, and competitor activities. The successful candidate will be innovative and have the ability to perceive business opportunities and work closely with Company management in developing and executing strategies which capitalize on these opportunities.
The finalist must possess a professional demeanor and excellent oral and written communication skills. He or she will be the type of individual who can interact effectively both professionally and socially, with people at all levels. This individual must conduct himself/herself in a manner which will reflect favorably upon the company, enhance its reputation and promote good will. The successful individual will have a reputation for integrity, maturity, and sound business judgment.
